The link worked for me...

However...I believe that if someone want's to take your cat, they'll get. But I really respect your effort on keeping it in your possesion.

Wow, a stolen Cat. I think I've heard it all now. What kind of low life do you have to be to one, steal anything of another person's but two, to steal a Cat?!

The same sawzall they used to zip out your cat will zip through that chain just as fast. Waste of time and money.

Thanks for all comments.
This is real and not a "joke".
This not loud each link welded to pipe.
This may be waste of time and money but my mechanic cuted two links to finish this "project"
One link = one minutes with electrical Circular Saw that stronger than battery sawzall
So to cut this "joke" bad guy need cut 5 links plus pipe....of cose he can do it, but i think its not worth it to many risk and time deal with...
so if "they" will steal this one i will sell this 4runer and will buy stupid grand vitara....

Wow, that sucks you have to deal with that kind of crap.

This looks pretty interesting, just kind of expensive: http://www.catclamp.com/

Wink

I have to agree with Wabbit on this one!!!

When it is time to change the cat who pays for all the extra labor to remove all the chain

If someone steals mine they might get $2 in scrap metal... When I had my muffler installed locally a woman brought in her 2000 Runner that the cats were stolen. It sounds horrible.

You might come out one day and your tranny is sitting on your rims with your cat, crossmember, tires and chain gone.

I can just hear the next mechanic who works on the underside.

at the very least, the tweaker is going to get under there, pull up on their back and look up, and say "shoot, this isn't worth the time"- it's daunting at first glance... that there should be reason enough in a high-cats-getting-lost area

I know what's in them I'm just saying that it's a low thing to do, messing with someone's vehicle like that.

Someone tried to steal mine too (in my driveway, nonetheless!!!), but couldn't get it because one of the bolts were rusted and got rounded off. I was lucky they didn't just cut it! Anyway, here's how I solved the problem:

Now my catalytic converter stays nice and warm in my garage, until it's smog time.

It seems to some people that they'd like to keep their vehicle nice and easily accessible for theives to come steal their posessions/parts. I've been a victim of theft and it's always happened when i let my gaurd down and they stole some items from me that i could have protected better because i was lazy. I work hard for my money and to hell if i'm ever going to make it EASY for them to come back and steal from me again.

The number one thing thieves like is quick and easy. If you make it difficult then you have a great chance that they will leave you alone and find another "Easy" target/sucker.

How does your truck run without the CAT? Do you get a CEL or bad gas mileage?
