Castrol import transmission fluid
I'm putting on my trans cooler and changing my trans filter this weekend and was wondering if anybody has used this trans oil? The gentleman at the auto parts store said this is what i need. Any help would be great before I drop the pan on Sat
Thanks

I'm using Mobil 1 ATF in all my auto trannies (2001 Toyota, BMW, and Ford) If you have a newer A340F Toyota T-IV fluid may be the spec.
Here's the best thread I've seen on ATF : https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f2/w...-other-105153/

It depends on what year your rig is. If it specifies dexron11 you can use the castrol american formula that is dexron 111 compatable. The import formula is for the newer toyotas. Check and see what fluid your vehicle requires.

mines a 98 so it says dexII and can use the american formula dexIII but the import formula says it will work with DEXIII vehicles too. It has a lower pour temp too which is good for me because where I live it gets down to 20 below at times. I went with the Import on sat and it's working good
