I have a 3.0l engine and i am interested in the deck plate mod. does this only work on 3.4l or can it be done on 3.0l as well?

I don't think there is a large enough flat area on the airbox to fit a decent size deckplate assembly. My airbox is long gone, so I can't verify that.

Rick, if you want more airflow out of the 3.0, look in our Tech section here for the "Intake Silencer Removal" mod.
It is in the Performance section.

Several have done this to the 3.0 already, and it performs like having the K&N Filter Pak on it.

I will be doing this mod hopefully before this spring.

In the near future I'm gonna get some wire mesh and cover the hole up to prevent debris from getting in.

Doing the silencer removal mod will yield more power definitely, but it'll be louder.
