Yeah man, the guys at the DMV around here are useless, and they're way too busy. If you want something found out, try it and get pulled over, it's the easiest way to find out around here.

You're not a redneck either, come to the island, expereience true "off-road" on Route 4.

Ps: It's good to have another from the province here. Next trip up to Hali I'll have to get a hold of you and go wheeling. It'll be fun.

I couldn't help but laugh. But who's paying for your health care? You gotta have insurance.

So would I. This urban life is killing me, but I am kinda stuck here with a nice job and good benefits. I would like to live where you have to drive 10 miles or more to your "next door" neighbor.

Well, the coppers might be a little light on the laws that apply (anywhere), but you can be SURE that your insurance company knows ALL of them. And will deny your claim, should you be found flaunting them.

Lived NOTB all my life, been all accross this fine country. Taxes and gas prices aside, I don't want to live anywhere else.

PS: -4c, freezing fog...mild for this time of year

You guys from Ontario and east wait for it. The temp out west in Alberta is getting up to a high of -16 today. Should hit you guys in a couple of days. Gas prices around here are sitting at 78.9 per liter. Cops around here do not have a clue or care what the laws are. This is redneck country and every 4x4 it seems is jacked to the sky.

gas prices

now there is a loaded question! lets put it this way, the prices are up and down like a toilet seat at a mixed party. one week the prices will be going down to maybe 72.9 and you think ok ill top up in the am. you go back to the station and the price is now 89.9. this can be a tuesday morning, it used to be you could count on the prices going up friday to catch the weekend travelers, now, it doesnt matter much what day you fill up. you gamble that the day you need to fill up, the price wont go lower, when it does you kick yourself for not waiting. you have just as much luck playing the lottery as trying to pick the best day to fill up. rant off, good thing too, because i was all reved up and ready to let go a tirade that would qualify me for looney bin accomodations.

I hear ya... I guess I"m thankful I at least live out here in the NorthWest. This state, the Seattle area, is awesome, and there is a ton of outdoor stuff to do out here, and still be in driving distance of cities and jobs. You should move here

I hope you don't mean my out east. I have the ocean to control my temperature, and that's oming up from Florida. Word on ths street is the Nova Scotia has the least variance in temperature in all of Canada.

Our harbour hasn't frozen yet . But if we do get your weather (not likely, we usually get New England's) it'd be around -8 here.

My gas/l is just under 90. I think it's 88.9/l.

Its +6ish here right now. and sunny. Pretty sweet. As far as the rules and laws are concerned, I have seen a few lifted monsters around town so, they aren't that strict in terms of lifted trucks.

Peterpatch!?!?!?!
Gee, we're neighbours (Cavan).
I'll keep an eye out for those stripes.
Next time you see that post for Ontario members, let's head out to Gilmour (Lingham Lake)

If would love to. Actually I kinda see my ideal town as somewhere in Oregon.
Like whereever "Stand By Me" was filmed. I want the nice slow laid back life, not a care in the world.

Oregon is pretty chill...heck, even the speed limits on the freeway are 55! (in some parts)

Scofco, out of curiosity, what do you do up in the Yukon, specially when it's -30?
