I have a 93 toyota pickup and it really needs power steering. Adding power steering should be able to be done...How much does it cost approx??..How do I go about doing this?

you jusnt need to locate all the parts and hook it all up... price will vary greatly depending on on several issues... where you get the parts (junkyard or new) who does the work, geographic location, etc

Pump, brackets, pulleys, belts, hoses, steering gear. Double check that everything besides the steering pump is in the same place, or you may need different stuff to relocate them too. Double check that the pitman arm is the same. That oughta do it. Should all bolt on. Time the gear before putting on the pitman arm. Fill with fluid, purge. Good to go.

Assuming you have a 2wd since I have never seen a 4wd with manual. I did it to my 87 2wd. I got everything from a yard for $150. You can get all you need from a pull it yard way cheaper. It was very easy to do. The only thing I had to modify was the inner fender and drill 3 holes for the resevoir other than that everything is bolt in. Also look for boxes that are not leaking even if it is just a little it will turn out to be alot more since the junk yard part has been sitting and sometimes the seals dry out.

My son's old 88 was a bare bones 4x4 without power steering, major PITA.
We found a 87 in our local Pick-a-part with all the parts, and were gonna do the conversion, when his truck got stolen.(Grrrrrrrrr)
