A/C Problems...
Hey guys, this may be a quick 'duh' answer but I know nothing about A/C. Here goes:
I took an 8 hour trip a week or so ago in my 92 (trip included some mudding) and had problems with the A/C. On the way there, no problems at all, A/C ran fine. However, on the way back, the blower speed of the A/C dropped alot on the last leg of the trip (only 1 hour or so left). The temperature might have changed a bit, however it was the speed that was the biggest change. What is ironic about this is that when it started happening, it was louder than it was before it slowed down. The sound (lots of air moving around) was concentrated behind the glove compartment, however very little through the vents. After I got home, I heard a constant clicking noise in the hood and found that it was coming from a small black canister on the passenger side of the truck all the way back against the firewall right under the hood. This constant clicking continued for a solid hour after the engine was turned off.
I think the A/C is ok now, it doesn't seem as cool or powerful though. Heater seems fine. Any ideas as to what this may be or what caused it?
