A/C odor

A/C vent odor
My A/C vents are letting out a odor when the A/C is turned off.
I bought this Wurth A/C and heating system treatment spray that is supposed to kill the mildew odor.
Directions say spray into A/C vents on dash and return vents. After spraying wait 5-10 minutes and turn on A/C full blower speed then spray into return vents.
Where are the return vents on my '99 Tacoma?

The "return" is used to recirculate the air in the cab during max cooling/heating and is located near the center console in the foot wells.. make sure your A/C is in the recirculation mode when you turn the A/C on...
Good luck

I'll just put the blower on highest speed.
I assume the vent lever to the left is the recirculate mode.
I see vents on both sides behind the console under the dash.
I believe heat comes out from them.
They are the returns also?

To find the return vent, simply turn on the fan and feel for the suction. It's under there!
