Nothing a drill won't fix... That was my first thought too, I'd drill a drain hole if it was weather tight or not. Awesome bumper!!

i have a question with regard to this picture.

could you have added a piece of square tube on the inner side of the folded plate, running horizontal the complete length? welds would run the length of each crease.

basically, it would run behind the surface with the yellow paintstick writing.

would this just be overkill, or could it add some beneficial rear impact resistance?

Good news.
Truck dropped powdercoated Ver.2 bumper in the garage last night.
Installation works is scheduled for Saturday. If everything goes well, its GO AHEAD for production.

Did you take delivery yet?

Talking

Brant called just before lunch today and said they started my bumper today! With any luck it will be here late next week or the week after, depending on shipping logistics.

thats a sick lookin bumper set up. from my understanding, i wouldnt be needing my receiver hitch any more? sorry for the noob question I've seen some guys here who built few bumpers and had left their receiver hitch on.

How much weight can this bumper/hitch can be used to pull? (I do alot of hauling of many sorts of things, so it'd be nice to know)

last question. How much would it be to have it arrive at my door step? the total cost to build this bumper with the swing-away. My zip code is 04345, thanks!

NO, you don't need your OEM hitch as the hitch is integrated into the bumper.

The towing capacity was never measured. The procedure is too long and it involves too much paperwork and money. Based on design and assumptions, this bumper is capable at least the same towing as your distribution hitch. It has 8 attachment points on each frame rail and made out of 3-16 steel which is 3-D structure.
My personal experience with CBI bumper - 10'000 lbs trailer, but that just me.

Shipping is $100-150 to major city.

I am attempting to fab something similar. I just ordered all of the steel: cut, punched, and ready to weld... I will post some pics of the fab and the final product. If I get it right I should have a good cut list, and set of drawings if anybody else wants to take this on themselves!!Don't get me wrong, I think the price from CBI is great, but after shipping I am just too cheap!
The cost for materials should be below $200.00 just need to weld it up.

You should be lucky as the same material here will cost over 500-600...

It should be less then $200, including the bending and cutting...I am giving my drawings to a local weld shop and he is going to bend all of the pieces out for me on his brake. A few pieces CNC on a waterjet and I should be good to go!
I should only have to cut out the square steel- which is no problem. oh how happy I would be to own a 200TON brake!
