sell the running boards in Ebay and it will cover the entire cost of your slider purchase.

I will warn you now...go SLOW on any KIND of dirt roads. In my old 2nd gen I popped the boards off, lifted it and put some BFG mudders on there and for the next few days all I heard was "POW! BAM! WHAP! CLANG!"...course I live on a dirt road that only gets taken care of when the redneck down the road isn't watching the Andy Griffith show...BUT! I just thought I would warn you.

Looks awesome though! It really is amazing how much of a difference those boards can make!

It is the sounds you don't hear that sucks more, such as the "lack of sound" you hear when you tear off your expensive new mud flaps on rocks...
I think you could definitely cover the cost of sliders by selling your running boards, why bother keeping them?

Looks great man, one of the best free mods out there!

Question for you or anybody else though -
Where did you find the front mud flaps? I'm definitely chipping the crap out of my paint, and I think this might be a good move for me. Thanks.

I sold (were silver, not black) running boards off of a 97 that I had exchanged for sliders with a member on yotatech for $329+ shipping on Ebay.

yep.
get some sliders. at least they'll serve as steps, but also offer some serious protection if and when you need it, and really start wheelin it.

Holy crap, I didn't realize anyone was in the market for running boards (ebay).
I took mine off a few months ago and they've been sitting up on a shelf in the garage.

Time to sell those puppies and get some sliderz!
