Bumper Question

Anybody know who makes a good and decent priced front bumper for an 87 4 runner, non winch bumper, just needs to replace the stock bumper and go around the corners where the old bumper ends should go.. since i ripped off the airdam and bumper ends, its kinda noisy.... heh

I know what you mean.

Mine died over a year ago.

Are you sure you won't ever want a winch? IMHO your best bet is to buy a bumper that will handle a winch if you decide later that you want one. The price between winch capable and non-winch capable bumpers is minimal. Buy a winch bumper but no winch for now, then you don't have to buy another bumper later when you realize how handy winches can be.

BTW.. the bumper I bought is no longer available because its a piece of junk. If I had it to do over again I would get a TJM for just $50 more than my POS Rockstomper was.

TJM is a really nice, really big, tough bumper. its kind of like a regular bumper combined with a brush guard. TJM is the company that makes them... ARB also makes good ones. personally i like the look of the ARB more, but it seems to be harder to get in the U.S. they're both fairly expensive though. about 600-700 bucks!

any offroad website should have pictures, or you can look at some member's rigs that have them.. try www.central4wd.com or look in the vendor's section of yotatech.

TJM is what Steve Schaefer has on his 99. Some come with the upper bull bar that kinda protects the radiator.

Its Austrailian made like Corey's ARB but slightly cheaper and lighter. If you need a front receiver hitch you are looking at a custom made piece.

There is a company called Badland Bumpers that is said to make good stuff including custom pieces like you want. A quick search should yield a link to their sight.
