Break Pedal Mushy after wheeling

I went wheeling through some pretty good size mud/water pits last night, and about half way through the trip (about an hour) My break pedal started being really mooshy, and wouldn't start to stop the runner until about half way to the floor. Usually the breaks activate as soon as i touch the break pedal. It happened all of the sudden. Any ideas on what it could be? I might be bleeding the breaks soon to see if that helps

Also the breaks are better today than they were last night, and my 4Runner has a strange habbit of healing itself.

We started wheeling at 2:45 AM and ended at 4:00AM. It was DARK, and i didn't have my camera. I don't think the pics would have looked any good anyways... I have some pics of the mud on the 'runner, but it was after it rained pretty good and washed the mud off, so it doesn't look that impressive

I definitly saw the benifit of the lift, I was ALMOST high center about 3 times, and without the lift i would have been screwd. I really like how my suspension setup works offroad, best vehicle i've driven, handling wise (35 to 40mph through tight bumpy two tracks... and it felt really solid)

Oh, and i definitly have to do the diff breather extension.
