Brake wear...
My 92 seems to go through a brake pad change every 5 to 10 thousand miles. This really astoundes me because my 2000 had the brakes re-done last year after we scorched the factory ones while pulling a trailer, and we've been almost 30,000 since then. I'm guessing we can get another 10,000 or so out of those.
The only difference between the two is that I have the 92 done at Brake Check and had the 2000 done at the dealer. We were using semi-metallic pads with the 92, but then switched to the ceramic now that the semis wear so easily. I like the ceramic much better because they aren't as noisy and grab better. We'll see how long they last, though.
Does anyone have any insight to why this is? My 2000 also seems to have a better braking system in general; I am actually disappointed in the braking power of my 92.
