BR-3 is here!!
I just received my OBDII reader, the BR-3. I haven't had a chance to plug it in yet but I'm itchin'.
I know some of you have this unit out there and I was wondering if you have found any little tidbits or tricks while using it? I know I will find things out while using it but I thought I would tap the vast knowledge pool to see what you guys have to say!

I mainly use it to check the short and long term fuel trim. I have used it to check other people's codes on their cars/trucks. It can check just about any make/model you can throw at it, years 1997 and up. Oh- and use a copilot

That is what I plan to do with mine pretty much. My truck tends to run really rich for the most part so I want to confirm what the long and short term fuel trim are really doing as well as look at the O2's. Then I will be up for a wide band O2 sensor to go with the future piggy back.....

Anyway... I just wanted to share another reason to have the box around. Given that you have a laptop, then it's a LOT less expensive than the stand-alone readers you can buy at the autoparts store, and the "kewl" factor is pretty high as well.

Talk about "Kewl" factor! You are right. A buddy here at work was talking about a CE light so I said lets take a look. Found codes for a few misfires and a bad O2 sensor.
This is the best $88 bones I have spent in a long time.
