Blowing fuses??

Blowing fuses??
Every so often i blow my dash light fuse. What would cause this?? The guy i bought it from said it could have something to do with the trailer wiring, but that don't make sense!
Is there a relay or something i'm missing?

Trailer wiring should have nothing to do with the dash lights fuse. (unless the installer was REALLY creative). Is it the dash lights fuse only, or do the tail lights go out too (that could indicate a trailer harness problem)? What year and model is it?
