I would recommend you run 5w30 syn oil. You could even try 0w30.

Need to be careful with the remote starters. In Columbus, Ohio some people have gotten sighted by local police. I guess that in some areas there are laws about vehicles running unattended. Yes even in your driveway. Not trying to flame anybody just adding my two cents.

I have an Optima Red top, and this whole thing started because I just wanted to help prolong my engine life. I have never had any problems starting up my rig. I just thought it was a good idea to try to help it out however I could. It's not all that cold here right now anyways, just thought I would try to get ahead of the cold. Thanks for all the helps guys, I will switch the oil to 5W30 and look into the new alarm with the remote start. BTW
