Bilstein HD vs Bilstein 5100, Downey Leaf Springs & Torsion bars

It says on the Bilstein website that their 5100's are designed for lift kits and the like where as the regular HD's are designed to compliment the OEM mounting configuration and ride height. It mentions specifically on the Bilstein website something about a 3-4" lift using their 5100's. What if you had leaf springs (in the rear obviously) that gave a 2" lift, and you had downey 26 MM torsion bars in the front (which I'm thinking about) and cranked them a little bit to match the 2" lift in the rear? Would you go with 5100's or the regular HD's in this case?

Also, if anyone has the Downey leaf springs in the rear with the 2" lift, and the ones with the 3" lift I'd be interested in seeing pics on your 89-95 Toyota 4x4 as well I'd be interesting in hearing reviews on the 26 MM torsion bars if you have them as well.

I have the same question, but for the 4runner, with 2-3" of lift. Should I use the 5100s or stick with the HDs?

i'd like to know too, whether the 5100's will fit with only a minor front end lift (1.5" bj spacer in my case)

yes get the 5100s and if you've got cash and want the bling go with 5150s in the rear. and yes for Fatdude get the 5100s, 3-4" lift shocks work good with BJ spacers. I've got 2" of lift with my Chevies, not the same springs but same amount of lift, I had 3" so you could see both heights if you want.
