Biggest Tire size for...

I have a 2000 4runner Ltd. 2wd, no lift or any other mods to suspension, what is the biggest tire I can fit under there. I dont want huge, but maybe like 265/75/16 or wider like 285/75/16. Also, what it a good part highway part off road, I dont go mudding but I just want something that looks good, I dont like how highway tires look.

265/75/16 is one inch taller than stock

275/70/16 is one inch wider than stock

both will fit with minor, if any, rubbing. 285/75/16 will not fit.

i suggest the BFG AT KO.

Ryan...just curious, but wouldn't a 275/70/16 also be slightly taller than a stock tire, as the width has increased, and even though it has the same aspect ratio (70), it should be slightly taller now because it has also gotten wider.

Hopefully my rambling made a little sense. I'm sure you can figure out what I'm trying to say.

my truck is bone stock, I was Also considering the 275/70/16 but...i said oh what the hell, bigger the better right? so look what i did about 2hrs ago.... I recommend this as well..REVOs seemed like a REALISTIC tires(we're on-road %90) but for the deal i got i couldnt pass it up. I used to work at Discount tires and i mentioned the old manager's name that works at another location...got the tires siped, Extra warranty(that even BFG doesnt give out), AND they gave me 15bucks for my old tires. All for around 750 out the door not a bad deal.
