Better than radar?

Just saw this on the 'Net when looking up some weather info.

They claim they will pay your speeding ticket for you too if you do get one.
You gotta read the info on that though.

Here is the product.

Seems like a good idea, but they won't cover your increase in insurance costs!!

That's for sure.
I don't have a need for that, or a radar detector.
I'm happy to putt down the highway at the speed limit, or 5 MPH over to go with the flow of traffic.

They have some other cool stuff on that site too such as a cat box that flushes itself, a cat finder collar, all kinds of techno gizmos

I looked into these things a good bit last year, and talked with several shops here in Birmingham. Several people had experience with them and the conclusion was that they have enough circuitry inside to make the lights light up on the front, but that's it. They don't do squat. I would steer clear. There are similar products on the market that sell for upwards of $2000, but they have components that are installed in the front bumper, front grill, and rear bumper and are very complex so I highly doubt that something that costs $150 would do anything more than light up. Just my opinion though.

I doesn't do anything to combat photo lazer. In the past few years I have noticed almost every Ct state trooper running a photo speed detection device. I don't think that there is any way to fight these units. Ther take a series of pictures and then compare how far the vehicle traveled to determine speed. It is just a camera and doesn't emit any type of signal for a detector to pick up.
