I have an 02 tacoma 2.7 l with a flowmaster 40 series and a turndown. Im not liking the sound anymore so if i were to add piping to the end of the truck, would that change the pitch of the sound?? Would it make it louder or quieter?

 

I don't have a tacoma, but on my 94 pickup when i put a tailpipe on it changed the sound quite a bit. It really depends on what sound your aiming for, you might want to try a few different setups and see how you like them.

 

it will make it quieter, but it wont sound like a bumble bee like the turn downs make it sound. the tail pipe adds more tone.
