What gauge is that power wire? 12?
Use something bigger.
Also, it may be a common myth, but it holds true whenever I install a system:
NEVER RUN POWER AND RCA TOGETHER!

if its shielded rca its fine... we run RCA wires with 1" thick power wire... and we dont have problems with interference.... this is for a band setup on AC though, but still.... we pull around 9000 watts of power, and thats electrical draw, not speaker wattage

What alternator are you running that can put out a steady 9000 watts and not have battery drain and headlight dimming?

i mentioned it above, that it is AC current for a band setup... not dc current in a vehicle......
