Assistance for purchasing exhaust parts

My 1995.5 2RZ has a rusted exhaust and a P0420 code right after a bracket broke. This makes me think a joint busted upstream of the cat or downstream of the cat and the downstream O2 sensor.

I plugged the exhaust pipe and immediately smelled exhaust at the cat and in the engine bay by the manifold. It has the old manifold so no surprise there.

My plan is to go the header route that has been suggested on here with some lengthy threads.

My question is what to do after that. What brand of exhaust parts are worthy? I'll need a new downpipe for sure. And I will likely need a cat-back system based on the looks of things. And to be honest a new cat is super likely.

So I will got OEM for the header and cat. What do y'all suggest for the down pipe and the cat-back components. Is Bosal acceptable? Anything to avoid?

Please keep in mind I'm not looking for performance here. This is my beater to take fishing and load yard waste. I need dependability and 100K more miles.

Lastly, I'm looking for bolt-on. Nothing custom. Should I leave this to a muffler shop? I live in Maine and the salt welding is pretty secure looking on most of the studs, nuts, etc.

Much thanks.

Last I looked Toyota Did not sell Headers .

Did you mean Exhaust Manifold ??

If you do mean header most then have a custom Exhaust built from the header back at your local exhaust shop

I have been using Walker Exhaust systems for years

Isn't there the mini-header on the Gen 1 Tacoma after the manifolds starting cracking. I think they started in 2000. My exhaust terminology is novice at best. What would you call them? Would it still be called a manifold?

Thanks. I will check out Walker systems.
