Well got almost everything labeled today...should finish up tomorrow and get it pulled. Gotta question....how do I get to the top bellhousing bolts if that crossover pipe is hiding it? Also where is the best place to unbolt the motor mounts? If anyone knows that has done this before then hit me with the info

If you call around in Richmond, I can probably help you out. That is there are a ton of machine shops, engine builders, fabricators,etc... So, if I can help let me know.
I am trying to sepnd every weekend in the mountains. Either in Wintergreen, GWNF or towards Roanoke/ Tech.

I appreciate it...but that would be a long haul for me. Trying to score a good shop here is like finding a virgin in a cathouse (just not gonna happen) I still have a few more places I could call before I get the remanned motor...I really want to rebuild this one.

Them cam gears are kicking my arse! I would kill to have that little special tool...anyone got any ideas on getting em off then please let me know! I tried the rag and big channel locks that strap22 suggested to me but they would slip on me every time...might have to set the intake back on it and put the timing belt on it and have someone hold the crank bolt while I try to turn the cam bolts with the timing belt on.

Looking good. Are you hoping to have the engine reassembled before we come up this weekend? Or are you planning on doing assembling it sat.?

Reassembly maybe looks like the weekend along with putting it back in. Things are going slow right now because I need to make that cam gear tool and get everything cleaned up and ready for the new heads. Still got quite a bit to do but we should be able to do it if were hard at it!

Either way, it's still good. Just need to get it up and running so we can go hit shoe creek the following weekend.

Well thanks to someone else they just put me a day behind schedule. Went to put some money on the prepaid credit card and the dumb woman hit the wrong button so now I have to wait until tomorrow to get this resolved in order to order more parts. Good thing is I'm off next week from Wed - Sun so I'll have plenty of time to get it back up if we don't get everything done this weekend. So either way there will be production met this weekend!

I'll have it up by next weekend. Going to make the run with cootees and I think renegades is going too. Wish you could buzz your cam gear tool down here
