Wouldn't you like to have that much lift on your IFS pending everything was set up right with no breakage issues? I would...but seeing I'm originally from west virginia and there is some nice deep mud up there along with nice tree obstacles to cross over then I would be all for it!

Im guessin' the company that did it? Doesn't say anything about an engine swap?!?! 39's and a 3vze?!?! Lets hope he re-geared!

"Future Plans:
Billy states that he is planning to install a strait axel in the front of his 4Runner new coil overs all around in order to raise his truck yet another 8" providing him with a total projected lift of 23.5 inches." ~ From the linked website

Yeh I was wondering about the motor too because the 3vze wouldn't have that kinda balls without some low low gears! That site doesn't mention anything specific about the lift(s) that he has in it or any other mods. Nice show truck...but as far as go I wouldn't say much for it right now with them big meats!

You can fit 35's on IFS if you go with a mild body lift and a total chaos, ESB, or JD longtravel kit. Bruce did it to his 3rd gen. All depends on what you plane to do with it.

Oh yeah...noi offense, but this is just as useless as those cranked up Long bed Crewcab F350's that all the idiots around here drive.

Not that that rig has any amount of travel up front, but if id did where is that tire gonna go???? 39.5's probably make a loud rubbing sound.

There is no reason to lift it that much !

No practical reaseon.. he will be stuck, long before anything will start to approach the body, and it causes the the truck to have less balance (higher balance point).

The better thing would be for him to cut out of the fenders and use the wheel wells, just use them

Anyhow that's my opinion, this look is more suited for freak shows, big foot shows etc...

I'm running 38" !! And don't need all this lift, there is plenty of 4runners here with 44" and 38"s !!

Just noticed but Gummi is in Iceland...been there before for 6 months and you need 38's around there just to get through the snow! Never saw a whiteout before til I was there. Pretty scenery especially Gullfoss....I remember me and some friends got stuck right down the road from the falls on a side road in a rental ford escort and we spent the night in it in a freezing snow storm so the next day we walked up the road and gathered up some boards and a shovel at this construction site and dug it out. What an experience in Iceland! Got some awesome tats there too...anyways nice place to wheel Gummi and nice trucks there too!

A little off subject....but I'm probably going to be getting my suspension lift in a month so what would everyone recommend? I've heard good things about procomp and superlift. Do these lifts come with extended coils for the rear? Would like to get some SAWs for an extra inch or so and maybe add a spacer to the coil in the back to maybe get around 5" total all around. Probably a little later on maybe get a 2-3" BL from 4crawler to get some 35's under it. Of course....5.29's front and back with a powertrax no slip in the rear. Its a daily driver so I don't wanna go full out crawler type truck (yet). Any opinions yota vets?

Nice work! A little advise thiough, if you want to say on top on cardomain you should have all your pictures on the first page cus most people don't go further than that. Check out my home page in my sig. It's been top 10 since the day I set up my fist page the way it is.

On a second gen you can clear 38's with a 3" body lift and a 4" susp lift. However to do it you have to crank the torsions to full droop so you no longer have any downward suspension travel on the front. I'll keep my 35's and the suspension travel over that setup any day.

It's called a show truck.

Getting that tall is not hard, but it is also not smart and not expensive. I would bet it is a 3" bodylift plus a 5" suspension lift cranked to 7" for a total of 10.

It will never wheel and if it did it would break.

You can run 35's on IFS easy, heck you can physically fit them up to any size provided lift and hacking, it will just break once it leaves the tarmac.
