Any recommendations on a 4runner cover?

notice I didn't say "car" cover?

I washed my 4runner last nite as well as my wife's Camry. She gets the garage space since she is hideously inept at parallel parking---don't argue w/ me on this one, I've tried every argument, including the Jedi mind trick, etc. Ok, back to the topic.

I need a cover that will protect my 4runner from the sprinklers out on the street. I don't need something too thick or high-tech, just something good enough to repel the water.

I've had a car cover in the past for my civic which was nothing more than nylon. Almost like a parachute but much thinner. All it did was soak up water.

Anyone have one? I'm willing to spend a fair amount of $$$, but not too much. Anything to rid myself of the aggravation of re-washing or just watching my paint go to hell.

Hi Bob, I have eyed the Griot's car covers everytime I get a catalog in the mail.

They are made custom for your rig. They offere a few different styles too.

They have two that look good for being out in the rain:

EVOLUTION® FOR ALL-WEATHER PROTECTION
Also known as Technalon™, Evolution® is ideal for long term outdoor use, rainy areas or inconsistent weather patterns. Breathes to allow evaporation of trapped water or condensation. Three colors.
92460 Evolution® Car Cover From $163.00 and up

NOAH® COVERS FOR ALL-WEATHER PROTECTION
All the protective benefits of Evolution® with one third less weight and bulk! Ideal for long term outdoor use, rainy areas or inconsistent weather patterns. Can't run outside and pull off your cover when it gets wet? With NOAH™, you can leave it on day after day. Breathes to allow evaporation of trapped water or condensation.
92430 NOAH™ Car Cover in Gray From $185.00 and up

I kind of like the 2nd one.
Now this next one Mr. Griots says is his favorite one. Plus it's machine washable.

A WEATHERSHIELD™, NON-BULKY FOR PROTECTION FROM ACID RAIN AND INTENSE SUNLIGHT
This is the latest generation of car cover fabrics. Its water-shedding technology is the same breathable fabric used in waterproof hiking outerwear. There is no outside lamination or waterproof coating to wear off. The fabric is spun from polyester and the fibers are fully encapsulated to be waterproof. Water just sheets off. Take it off after a rain storm, give it a quick shake, and the remaining moisture will dry off within minutes. This cover is more compact than other waterproof covers and fits easily into any washer and dryer for cleaning. Enjoy the security of knowing you're fully protected. As with all our car covers, yours will be custom made to fit your car like a glove. This has become my favorite cover.
92414 Weathershield™, Non-Bulky Cover From $259.00 and up

Hmmmmm, I'm starting to like that one now.
I'd have to have one really custom tailored thogh do to my roof rack.

i'm looking at the NOAH one for some time now, it's a pretty all around cover , at least that's what I think, I would like to get one too, but it's not one of my top priorities right now.
