antenna problem

antenna problem

Hay all can anyone tell me how to disconnect the plastic toothed part from the antenna mast, i have a broken mast i need to replace on my 2000 4runner. Thanks

He changed his. You need to remove the antenna from the truck.

Thanks it's off the truck but i cant get the plastic toothed part out of the snapped off mast,is there some way to get the little ball end off the mast?

IMO just replace the eletric antenna with the taco whip. works great and dont have to worry about it failing or snapping off in a car wash. thats what i did on my '02

The mast and plastic cable do not come apart. It is one assy.

seems like on my 98 4 runner, after i got the motor out of the fender, i was able to disassemble some more and was able to get to the broken mast.
