Thanks World_Traveler for posting the article on the 03 Runner. It was interesting.
I'm still not impressed. Oh sure, I'm certain it will fit nicely in the garage right next to the spouses Escalade, Excursion, BMW, or Mercedes suv. Get my point? But there seems to be a market for these newer types of suv's these days and that is why Toyota has moved in that direction. I think the only rig left from Toyota for the guy actually wanting a "Man's Rig" is their Pick-up Truck. A few guys in here have some nice trucks and that just might be the way to go for anyone looking for a mans vehicle that wants to go off road. As for the 03 Runner...forget it. Mark my words, it will be bought and used primarily by guys with ties going in to work at the office on the freeways, and for moms with kids running them to soccer and school.
