Annoting brake squeal!
#2
Change the pads bud
Most brake pads...hell all brake pads that I know of, have a built in "feature" that makes your brakes squeel like crazy when they are worn out/down. Thats usually the #1 culprit. #2 could be a rock or some other foreign object stuck in a caliper. If its not either, it could be a bunch of other crap that isnt the brakes. I dont know much about drum brakes...never heard of them squeeling however...its coming from the fronts right? and only at lower speeds?
Edited: just noticed your in Port Townsend...I love it up there...my grandparents have a house up on Oak Bay I visit frequently....wish I had a reason to live there

The guy who owned it before me, who is family so I trust him, says that the pads are not low. I thought only chevy had that little squeal tab on the brakes to let you know its time to change. Anyway he swore the pads were good.
BTW you are correct....Its from the front and gets louder when its wet out.

But also, Chevy is not the only maker that has the tabs built in.
All you have to do is take a look at the pads and you'll be able to tell.

yea. Thats good. You can get some stuff that you put on the back of the pads to stop squealing.(Its the consistancy of real heavy ketchup) Its about $4 canadian. Pull the pads. Spread the stuff on the back of the pads. reinstall and your done. The stuff works really good.
