Amsoil air filter
It has been at least 15,000 miles since I last replaced my air filter, it is starting to look a little dirty, and I have noticed a slight power and mileage decrease, so I am guessing I need to replace it. Since ya'll are always talking about how great the Amsoil is, I am thinking about getting one too. The only thing that is holding me back from getting one is that I heard that the oil the Amsoil uses can harm the MAF, is that true? The last thing I want to do is spend hundreds of dollars to replace my MAF! Thanks!

Before you install your new AMSOIL filter, put several page thickness of newspaper on a garage floor, lay a couple paper towels on that, then a couple more paper towels on top, then more newspaper on that.
Then squeeze the filter moving back and forth all over it to squeeze as much oil out as possible. the paper towels and newspaper will soak it up, then install the filter with the fine foam toward the MAF and the course foam toward the front grill and this will take care of it.
You can order a bottle of filter oil with your filter then you'll be ready to wash it out and reoil it when it gets dirty. Be sure to squeeze the excess oil each time you clean it.
