Alternator/Gauge Reading
Quick question...what does your "Charge" gauge read at normal speed?
I think my brushes are toast. I've applied the GSR (good, sharp, rap) method for the past two months, which bumps the reading almost to the right side of the gauge. Today, the best I can get out of it is JUST to the far side of the "+" sign, so I know I'm making about 13.5 volts. I also know it's time to replace the brushes, or alternator...I happen to have a spare. Just no spare time right now.
Just curious what others are seeing on their gauges. Thanks...
