Allignment techs please look
I have a 91 runner that has been pulling to the right for awhile so I took it in for an alignment yesterday and they said that something was wrong with the front end but they aligned it so it wouldn't ruin the tires anymore but it would still pull.They said that the "SAI" adjustment is way off.What exactly is the SAI?
front left
SAI is @17.9 (spec is 11.1-12.6)
front right
SAI is @12.0 (spec is 11.1-12.6)
He said to start replacing things like steering knuckles,A arms and such.I would like to get a better idea of what to look at before replacing everything.Could a broken shock cause this?

Steering Axis Inclination.
The angle formed by a line that runs through the upper and lower steering pivots with respect to vertical. The line runs through the upper and lower ball joints. Viewed from the front, SAI is also the inward tilt of the steering axis. Like caster, it provides directional stability. But it also reduces steering effort by reducing the scrub radius. SAI is a built-in nonadjustable angle and is used with camber and the included angle to diagnose bent spindles, struts and mislocated crossmembers.
