Aisin Hub Rebuild

I have an '89 4runner that is in need for having the hubs rebuilt. I have found a number of threads on how to rebuild them. But my question is, is there a rebuilt kit I need to buy, or do I just replace the damaged parts? Also, where do I buy these parts? Please do not tell me Toyota.

Thanks for the help.

What parts are damaged that you are replacing? When I put mine on I just degreased them, put fresh grease on, and put them back together with new gaskets. The gaskets are cheap...I got them from Toyota. If one of your hubs is really damaged you might as well just look for another hub and make it a donor to scavenge parts off of.

I have not started yet. I want to make sure I have everything I need. The only way the lock is with a pair on pliers. They need some help.

Probably some grease. Use a small amount of high quality bearing grease and a large amount of elbow grease. Lube 'em, mount 'em, wheel 'em. And make sure you keep an eye on the little retaining ball mounted on the spring...if you drop it, it's GONE!
If you find broken parts, you can get them from Toyota $$$$. You can build a 'new' hub from their parts counter, but you'd be better off to just get another used one. It will cost less than any part available and you'll have a spare, as mentioned above.
