AIR HORNS or HOOD SCOOP

so i went a little crazy and put some air horns on my hood. i had to drill 2 holes through my hood. i didn't really like or dislike them, but everyone says they gotta come off so i'm exploring my options. i can leave the horns on replace them with a lund hood scoop. the scoop could be painted white to match also. Or, I could go the more expensive route and either buy a new hood or get the 2 holes left from the air horns filled and repainted. whatcha think?

That scoop would look great on your truck, even black to match the other pieces. Is it me or everytime I see a pic of your truck it reminds me of a S-10 ZR2. At least the front half.

yeah the first time I saw the pic in his sig, it took me a min of looking at it to make sure it was a toyota, that angle makes the front look a whole lot like an s-10

Your post has got me thinking about adding a small scoop to my 86, since I'm currently repainting it. I just looked at lunds website but it wasn't much help. Can you or anybody else recommend a scoop that looks good on toyota's.

man those air horns must be really loud haha, can you fit em in your engine compartment? I just put a louder trumpet style horn in mine, but might end up throwing a relay in there and a high note one also to give it a better/louder sound.
just outa curiosity, how many db. are those horns?

That is just too cool for your yota man!! By all means, remove it and put a hood scoop on it.

118 i believe. the problem with mounting them on the underside of the hood is that they are setup so that the air line comes in from underneath. under the hood would mean that the air line would have to come from above the hood.
