Air filter tube on 3.4?

On my 2000 4runner with the 3.4, the air tube connector that clamps onto the intake has cracked and I got a new one from toyota.. Seems that on the side there is a hose 'nipple' and on my old one, it is much smaller than the new one I got.

Anyone know of any changes in this or why the difference?

Mine cracked like that as well, It still drivers perfectly fine with it so I am not even gonna bother with it.

You will have to find a way to block off/reduce that big fitting on the new one. Or take it back and just ignore the crack.

That small of a crack will not even effect anything since there is not active vacuum in that section. Even if some air did sneak in it would simple lean you out and if anything lead to better MPG.
