Air Filter Housing Options??

Hey guys, one of the items damaged on my 2000 4Runner during the accident was the airbox. The insurance company was nice enough to give me $450.00 for that bad boy but I was hoping I had some options other than stock.
I am planning on adding a snorkel to the vehicle and by doing that I was hoping it would eliminate the airbox but by looking at some pics it doesn't seem that way.
I know there are cold air intakes but they don't seem to work in a snorkel application.
Any ideas? Thanks.

You could assemble parts from an airbox http://www.spectreperformance.com/#CATALOG.9833 and tubes from this catalog. Then mate them to a snorkel. Add a pre-filter for added protection. The pre-filter will cut the fine dust and some say that they will not allow water to pass thru. I can see it stopping some, splashed, water but if it is submerged I would think that it would suck it thru.

I'd probably try to find a used stock box, try here: http://www.car-part.com/

If you want to make one yourself incorporate the stock tubing that holds the MAF in your design, I've heard the tubing diameter must stay exactly the same for the MAF calibration to be correct.
