Question Adjusting 2nd Generation 4runner LSPV?

I just put a 4 inch suspention lift on my runner and the rear breaks do not seam to be working. The LSPV is not letting any pressure get to the rear brakes. I need to fix this before I put my 33s on. Note: It was not working before I lefted it. I believe it was out of adjustment then.

How do I adjust the LSPV?

If you added a 4 inch lift you'll have to raise the valve 4 inches w/ a bracket, NWOR and Downey sell them or you can make you own. If you would like I can e-mail you a PDF for the instructions for a 95-96 4runner adjustment. Its a fairly large PDF 289k but has good info and pictures. Let me know.

Drill through the cross member above the LSPV.

Attach a turnbcuckle through the cross member and to the end of the LSPV rod.

Go to a wet parking lot and slam on the brakes.

When the fronts are locking just about the time the ABS is kicking in on the rear, you are right on the nuts.

Sorry, maybe I should have mentioned I have a second genetation 4runner. (90) No ABS here. The wet parking lot sounds like allot of fun. I did get the bracket to raise the rod end 4 inches. I just had somebody explain to me how these things work and why they are there and this guy can provide me with instructions with the adjustment. He said It would take about two hours to adjust it.

Thanks for the help.
