AC doesn,t work : I need a ?dryer? and a gasket; DIY job?

If you're system is already empty then yes it's DIY. You'll have to take it to a shop to get the air pumped out and the system refilled though. The drier shouldn't be exposed to air for very long, it'll absorb moisture, so get it refilled ASAP.

I'd highly recommend just taking it to a licensed professional. How did you diagnose the reciever/dryer? Should you decide to DIY then make sure after you complete the repairs to have the system vacuumed for at least 30 minutes to rid the system of moisture as well as to find out if the system is still leaking or not.
