ABS Light and p squib code
My truck's ABS light is solid and my regular mechanic thought it was due to a bad pump. I took it to the dealership to get the code read and it came back as a p squib open circuit. After doing some research it seems that code is for the passenger airbag. My SRS light is not on. I have a 2002 tacoma. The check engine light is also intermittently coming on and the other code was for throttle pedal position sensor. I assume that the throttle position pedal is related to the check engine light.
The p squib I would think was coming from the ABS. The guy at the dealership wasn't too forthcoming with info.
Is a p squib open circuit always the airbag or can it be an open circuit in the ABS system?
Pumping the brakes is fun but if the only thing keeping my ABS from working is a pinched wire I want to fix it.
