??? about A/C

Okay, Ive been having problems on and off now with my A/C unit but I think I can finally afford to get it fixed. A long time ago my compressor siezed up and I havnt done anything about it. I just bought a new compressor and its on its way.

Does anyone know what would likely have to be replaced when a compressor siezes up? Ive been told that other things can be affected by the siezure. I thought it would just be a matter of pulling the old compressor out, putting the new one back in, throwing a new belt on and recharging the system. BUt I guess its not that easy. I know nothing about the AC system, Ive been reading up but I dont want to get takin when I bring it in, you know what Im saying. Hope this makes sense to yall.

You need to make sure the system is flushed completely. Fill the compressor with correct amount of oil and make sure to replace the accumulator (receiver dryer) and orifice tube if equipped. Other than that, a new belt and some freon and you're ready to go.
