99 Tacoma V6 Hesitation problem

OK, I am a newbie and I searched thru alot of the posts and found some similar problems. My truck has a hesitation that comes and goes while I am just slightly accelerating while driving. By this I mean if I am accel. harder it will not happen but if gradually accelerating it will have hesitation and seem like it is holding back. In the last 6 months I replaced my MAF and just recently (when this started) I replacded the PCV and fuel filter. After the PCV and fuel filter it seemed like it ran better for a few days but now is back to the hesitation again. Any help is appreciated... Thanks

Air filter was changed about 6 months ago with the MAFS and the plugs are probably about 30k old. I have read some posts where the TPS was the problem, but could not find the way to check it. At idle everything is normal but on gradual accel. you feel the hesitation, hard accel you do not notice it.
Thanks

doesnt sound like you can or have access to any diag equipment. My advice......take it somewhere that can diag it for you. Dont guess what the problem is and throw parts at this trying to fix it

Definately check the Throttle position sensor (TPS), depending on the miles your truck has, it may need a new one.

If you have a multimeter with an OHMs setting, there is a way to check the resistance. I can give the method for checking it along with the correct resistance numbers later today, or if you have a Haynes manual the precedure is in there. Very easy to check and eliminate a possible culprit to your problem!
