99 prerunner oil pan leak

99 prerunner oil pan leak
my son's truck is dripping oil.
deep end of pan, not from plug, seems tobe near back.
is the deepest part of pan added on at the factory? there seems to be a seam about 2 1/2 to 3" up all around this small "extension"
truck is all original 3 owner.
any ideas??
