'98 2.7 4runner hesitant.
Hi all.
I own a 1998 Toyota 4Runner 2.7 with auto transmission. I have owned her for 14 years.Recently I have fitted a brand new cylinder head and 16 new valves. The CEL light is not on and when she is wound up will do 100 mph on the flat. The problem is that when you accelerate she will bog momentarily. The reaction to this is to depress the throttle further and then she will set off like a rocket. This has been a problem since the engine work. Fuel economy is not great either. The wife and I love the old girl but this problem is driving us mad. Does anyone have an Idea what may be causing it ?
