Hi, I have a 96 4Runner that is having issues with the Trailer wiring. Basically the lights are not working as they are supposed to. When I turn on my blinker both lights start to blink. When I turn on my driving lights, only one of the lights turns on the trailer. I have isolated it to being a problem with the vehicle and not the trailer. I have replaced the wiring harness on the back of the vehicle. I still have the issue. My guess is that it is a problem with the Tail Light Converter. Does anyone know where the Tail Light Converter is located on the 96 Toyota 4Runner and how to access it?

its on the pass side by the little cubby space you will need to pop off that whole plastic trim though

You replaced what harness already? All you needed to do was replace the trailer wiring harness complete with converter.

$34.95 at etrailer and it should come with instructions. Make sure you install it on the side that it says to or your blinkers will be switched.
