'91 Stereo ?s

I just pulled the stereo for a 91 4runner i recently purchased to replace it with a new Panasonic Mp3 player arriving this week. I suppose the stock one was top of the line when it was offered. It is the double height cd /tape palyer. Here's my ?'s

1) There are what appears to be 2 power antenna connetors on the stock unit. A large male plug on one and a smaller male plug on the other that go in to seperate places on the head unit. I know one must be for the antenna. What's the other for?

2) Anyone know if a convertor is needed to match antenna plug to a newer radio?

Thanks

D. Wagner

i think the smaller one is for an auxilliary antenna thats mounted inside the rear passenger side cargo window...........

take a look there and you'll probably see a wire imbedded in the glass.

Sure enough I have both the power antenna and an embedded window antenna. Thanks for the insight. It never occured to me to look for the window one.
