5VZ-FE idle adjustment?

5VZ-FE idle adjustment?
New Idle Air Control Valve. It idles fast when cold, and slows down when it warms up, all good, but will never get below about 1000 RPM. The engine is in a 86 4Runner, it came out of a 2000 Taco. The Domestic Supervisor's 99 4Runner with same 5VZ-FE idles around 750 or so. I believe that the linkage and all that is right.
How does one adjust the idle? Is there a procedure somewhere (I dont have FSM for the 5VZ).

5vz idle issues
I'm not personally aware of the ability to adjust the idle but I am aware of issues with the cleaning of the whole throttle body unit itself sometimes needing to be gone through and cleaned to have the idle come back to the original settings. Debris in the throttle body not allowing it to function properly. I had the same problem and that's the answer that was suggested to me by members of the group. I don't have to worry about that anymore because I'm doing an engine replacement on my truck today. Good luck with solving this issue and I hope that it works for you.
