Anyone know what i Can do about some better parts insode of the engine. Would it be worth it/ possible to get some grindin done on my cams for a little more top end. I understand its not a racecar here but no one makes anything. I've done some looking and most threads are dead and gone or the places making anything are gone.
I think the idea of the 3vzfe cams in a 5vzfe was tossed around a while ago (05-06) but I don't think anything came of it .

 

you can use 3vz-FE cams from a camry or so ive heard its becoming a more popular cam swap

 

Anyone on seen a truck running them what are the gains top end wise,what's it rev to?

 

Never seen someone actually do the 3vz cam swap and have the engine running with results personally. It has all been theory so far.

Honestly don't spend a dime on the 5vz if it is in good running condition as it is. The motor is darn near bullet proof stock, no reason to change it. If you want more power there is only 1 real option, supercharge it (or turbo it if you are a bit more adventurous).

 

x2 ^ if 300 + hp is not enough with sc, swap motors. after my 22re i love my 3.4

 

Yeah Lce performance has a nice long block they sell but 12grand is out of this world. I only paid 2400 for the truck and total 200 for the supercharger I'll stay with tht I guess
