I measured my '04 SE and at the front fender well the front is 2 inches lower than the rear. I measured the distance from the front cross member to the ground and it is 8 inches(so much for the 9 inch ground clearence).

Looks to me like about 1 1/2 inch spacer would level out the T4R. Actually if you look closely at the front suspension it looks like it is sagging at least a inch. I am really wondering if Toyota put the right springs in the 04'T4R SE's.

i'm just kidding with you, David, i was just remembering how Anthony kept joking with me about making me rainbow spacers or pink ones if i wanted. and yeah .. i think the rainbow afro guy is ahriman ... he rocks! but i don't think he still has that afro.

anyway ... 1.5" - 2" would probably be perfect to level it out ... things are level with 1.5" more lift in the front, but that's just by measurement, and so whether it LOOKS level or not to the naked eye is a different matter and one that is probably different from person to person.

it's definitely a thing to experiment with, if you want to, David.

and Cliff ... when you say it looks like it's sagging ... if you are referring to something other than the normal nose-rake, could you post a picture so we could see?

yeah, I get you. I simply assumed that they would be "spacers for 2" lift" Wasn't thinking that they'd market 2" spacers and after you put em in you find you got 3" of lift (or whathave you) Kind of a pain, put 2" spacers in the rear and get 2" lift, then guess what you need in front to get it level.... (Hmm, just do the front first, no guess work for the rears...)

Not like in the good old days when you put in 4" leaf springs in front and 4" addaleafs in the rear and after 3 months you had 2 1/2" lift in front but still had 4" lift in the rear and a bonecrushing ride...

haha, I understand what you're saying, Phil.

I suppose it's just a misunderstanding because I thought you were saying that if you have a spacer that is 2" tall, then you'd get 2" of lift from it ... and I was just trying to say that if you have a spacer that is 2" tall, then you'd get more than 2" of lift ...

But all the lift kit companies I know advertise the amount of lift you'll get, and not the height of the spacers that will give it ... like our kit for example, if someone wanted 2.5" of lift, we'd do that through two spacers which would themselves measure less than 2.5" ... but which, when installed and measured from the wheel, would yield that 2.5" of lift as promised.

Revtek and Daystar are the same way ... I was always really concerned because when I first got my Revtek kit, I measured and thought "damn it, they sent me the wrong one! this doesn't measure 3" like the 3" lift I ordered!" but went ahead and installed it ... then I realized, hey, that's really messed up and I don't know how it gave me 3" of lift from 2+" spacers but I'll take it!!

So, alas, I can't think about the mathematics of it anymore until I finish my research paper or my head will explode.
