Funny that i should this post today. Earlier today my brother took his running boards off of his 94 4runner. He took it out to a mud hole by his place and now his white 4runner tooks like it was two tone brown, and white. A whole crap load more mud than when he had them on, but his 4runner looks alot taller

I've got sliders instead of running boards and no flaps. I haven't noticed any damage from off-road. However, since the weather is finally starting to improve around here, I've finally been able to get my rig cleaned up. Once I got it washed, I noticed a lot of fairly large paint ships (about the size of a nickle) along my rocker panels from all the crap they put on the roads during the winter.

For anyone who may be interested:

I have a pair of Toyota front mudflaps that fit SR5 96- and up 4Runner with no fender flares. I order them by mistake and even tried running them for about three days until I decided they looked rediculous with my black textured fender flares. (I now have the correct ones installed)
ANYWAYS... I paid $46 for each of them and want to get rid of the pair for $50.

You are right. Those work perfect on your truck. I had similiar ones on mine for a few months that cost me $8 at NAPA and they did the job. But the way the black texured fender flares looked stopping short of the bottom of the rocker panel really started to annoy me.

Yeah, that's a good point. I actually want some of the fender flares you mentioned. I think they look better than my current flares. But, that could cause me some flap problems!
