I have a '99 LTD with a sunroof that doesn't work and has started to leak occasionally. I had a '97 LTD with a sunroof that worked very well. So before I crushed the '97 I took the sunroof. Today I started gutting the '99 to replace the sunroof only to find there is a module attached to the '97 that I don't have on the '99. '99 roof w/o module

Structurally the two roofs are the same. When I installed the '97 into the '99 and plugged it in (not the module just the motor) it works like a champ.

Does anybody know what the module is on the '97?

 

If the 97 Moon Roof Harness will plug into and work go for it

It just happens to use a relay mounted right at the window .

I have the EWD for 97 and 98 both use the relay

Maybe the one for the 99 has been moved to a different spot
