now what would be the advantage of bobbing it like that, and ending the cab at the rear seat, vs a normal bob job? weight dist.? or is it just personal taste at this point?

i dont think its ugly. . . just not really meant to drive on the street. probably just to maximize the weight loss i guess. Running alot of tire, hope he has some serious axle shafts and birfs.

These guys Rock Christo is the man when it comes to the Land Crusiser. I see this truck every day only a mile from my place. They build some sick trail rigs. His yellow rig is top o the heap.
This truck looks like a work in progress, just needs finishing

Agreed, I think it's ugly.
I don't think that you should take almost all of the weight off of the back end. now there is no weight to help the tires flex, or wheel wells to keep you kinda clean in the mud or rain.

I agree with it being a work in progress
and as far as the looks go. its a trail rig. looks are at the bottom of the list as far as importance. the purpose isnt to make a cherry cool looking rig. its do what you got to do to get it places. who cares if it doesnt look cool. it will look cool when its going through terain that no one else can.
dont get me wrong im not sayin this is an awesome trial rig. but you shouldnt be critisizing the way it looks.

i agree with 86runner... yes, its no $30k big lifted truck that is never going to see dirt... but its a trail truck, it isnt even street legal... if it can get you where you are going and back, who cares what it looks like.....
its much the same fashion where people bash on 4x2s, in the argument being and i am not the only person who thinks this way, is a 4x2 in the proper hands can out wheel a 4x4 with a wimpy driver easily.....

Cool truck, add a little flatbed for the cooler and that would be a fun rig! It looks like it can take 3 others too. Three hot chicks and a coolerfull of cold ones at the rubicon would be all that truck needs to look any better

Man, you guys are tough
Couple of explanations so people don't have to wonder about it. I bought the truck from a friend of mine that went a little crazy with the sawzall. He bought some 38's and decided to do some trimming. It would not have been my first choice to do it that way. The tailgate was welded in to keep the sides together. Bottom line is, it is still work in progress, but I do not have time to work on it. The gas tank was moved since it rubbed the driveshaft. It needs to be boxed in and a toolbox put on top of it. As for axles, still stock, but Longfields will do ok in it.
Learned from other trucks that if you build a hard core rock crawler, spending time on the body work is time wasted. The truck needs some small things and a cage and then it is ready.
