4Runner Now Gone... I had to..
Hey Folks,
Well, I finally sold the 4Runner. Not happy about it really...
Family just got too big to fit anymore.
At any rate, I kept my Cargo Box / Drawers and Roof Rack. (Also kept my winch, but that will going on new vehicle). The box is for sale. You can see pics of it on my website in my signature.
There is a posting in the For Sale section also.
You all take care.
James

Sorry to see that you had to let the Runner go. It was an awesome rig and very well built. I have the same year and I love it and still modding it. Whats your next project?

Thanks!
We looked long and hard at Sequioa's. But, couldn't find anything that wasn't already trashed by another family, plus, dealers think they have a little pot of gold with that vehicle because the Domestic SUV's aren't selling so well. They wanted NADA Retail price and above on every one we looked at. Tried Private sellers, but sometimes private sellers are even worse... they think because they put an aftermarket stereo in it.. they should get 3 grand more! I have a BIG lesson for them... and most of us on this board know it already... when you modify your vehicle, you WILL NOT get back out of it what you put into it when you sell it..... unless you find that one buyer who is looking exactly for what you are selling.
At any rate, I found a pristine Tahoe LT 4X4 with 3rd row seating. Already had a 6 inch Fabtech lift and 35" AT's. Lots of aftermarket to include 4.56 gears and an Eaton Posi. All the bells and whistles with only 48000 miles on it. GREAT price because dealer said he couldn't move a lifted vehicle very well with big tires during this gas crunch. I wouldn't normally buy an already lifted rig, but I know what to look for and this rig was a "Mall Crawler" at most. You can tell the Previous Owner wanted a show-truck.
So, that's it. Now my whole family fits with no problems and I have the power to pull our camper without any struggle up hills (5.7 ltr V8 helps).
Sincerely,
James
P.S. Not a day goes by that I don't think about my Runner though

Thank you all.
I can see another Yota in my future. I do believe it will be of the older model (early 90's) Land Cruiser type.
I will get pics up on my site soon. I'll let you know here when I do.
God Bless,
James
